And she told 2 friends…
I wasn’t going to post anything today, but someone sent me this video. Watch all four minutes, forty-six seconds of this important message, then pass it along.

Pretty decent of you putting that on your blog. This may be an immflamatory (sp?) statement, but here it goes, I feel that it is a sorry state of affairs that celebrities would put together something like that during the presidential elections, not that a presidential election is not important, but what about all the other elections that also help decide where the country is going? Maybe this is naive on my part, which I have been called that a lot, weird considering I am from NY, but I digress.
What about all the other elections not during a presidential election year? The senate, house, little ones like the board of education or the city coucil, mayor, or state governments? Sure your vote counts in a national election, but do you also vote for your city or state ones? And if you do that’s great, if you don’t what does that make you?
That video just reminds me about stuff where it doesn’t seem important until a celebrity says something about it. Like illnesses, until a celebrity goes and sponsors or has it something like Parkinson’s; it’s like it never existed before until X talks about it.
I know I am not naive enough not to take the money (if I was the group) for the illness, but it’s not like it was never there before and will be after. And putting it in the spotlight will generate more funds, but it just irks me that it has to take a celebrity to “sponsor” or “promote” the illness like it’s an accessory.
Maybe Beth, you do not want me to make comments on your blog any more.

And me, sappy Sarah, cried because of the importance of being able to vote!
Maybe this election encourages people to vote for all elections!
