Oops — forgot to tell you…. everything’s looking up
I wrote about a rough financial patch recently, and I’m happy to say that I’m back on track. I picked up a marketing consultation (they’re flying me out to Phoenix in October), a science-writing gig (due tomorrow), another ghost-writing gig (not yet finalized) and maybe another presentation. Plus a couple of my regular clients came back with new projects. I’m busy again!
Other news that makes me smile:
- Chocolate Helps Heart Stay Healthy
- I’ll be turning 40 in Paris
- Google Phone to Cost $179
- D.J. and I are playing nicely together
- Cafe Press has a whole line of things to make folks with cancer laugh (which they really need)

Good to know, but I will keep clean sheets in the basement bedroom just in case.

Dear readers,
Please note that my father is now offering to *rent* me the downstairs bedroom — just a few months ago the offer was free.

AHAHAHA!!
Oh man.
Seriously, though. Turning 40 in Paris!! How exciting! I’m jealous. Not of turning 40 (I’m not rushing the next 6 years), but of you being in Paris!
And I knew that huge organic chocolate bar was good for not only the fair trade people but also for me. The four dollars was totally worth it.

I’m glad things are looking up. And I am slowly getting excited for Paris, since I will be with you on that momentous occasion.
Also, as far as I know, I am still getting the downstairs bedroom free. No rent so far.

Congratulatios. Things are always darkest and coldest just before dawn, are they not?
About the science and ghost writing, how did you get started? One or two people have mentioned in passing that I would be perfect for it, but they don’t know anyone I could contact. Of course.
I’m asking around, but no one seems to know very much. I might be asking the wrong people.
Any hints, tips, or suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

geek-speak here: Bet you didn’t know 40 in hexadecimal is 28?
BTW – I’m almost 30 – really!

I turned 35 in Paris a few years ago. It is a spectacular place to celebrate a birthday.
BTW – I passed the graphic and the cafe link to my oncologists. They loved it!
Enjoy!
