Hi Beth,
I have been reading your blog for a while – it’s great! I only recently entered the world of freelancing writing myself, and I started with a big cold-calling marketing campaign. The cold-calling has been successful for me so far, but it’s an intimidating process. One quote in particular has helped me.

Beth — there was this highway sign that read, “There’s no better place than now.” I’ve always liked that one.

And of course, this one gives me the bumps every time.

Thanks for the inspiration, Beth. One that I think of often is “the purpose of life is life with a purpose”(I forget who said it). It often keeps me moving in the right direction.

I also like one Lawrence says often (maybe from AA?) – Progress, not perfection. So often I strive for perfection, thinking it is all or nothing.
