Just one more day
Dear readers,
I need to delay the Tuesday post to Wednesday. I’m heading to the convention center for the last day of a conference I’ve been attending. I’ll share the fun stuff I learned. Here’s a snapshot of small but important lessons:
- Registration people do not understand what cash is. Don’t try to use it.
- Do not wear a light blue bra with a sleeveless red dress, even if it’s your favorite bra.
- Small businesses should go office supply shopping in an expo hall.
- After running a half marathon on Sunday, do not wear cute little heels on Monday.
- You will meet 500 people who will say “Let’s talk after the show!” In reality, both you and your contacts will forget why you wanted to talk.

Why am I having withdrawal symptoms? Reducing posts… now delaying posts… and I am only one of the newest fans. Sigh. *dangles a cupcake*

I totally remember why I wanted to connect while here, but time has sped by. I cannot figure out why I have not run into you (one of what 6,000?)Guess I should have been looking for the red dress. Happy One Year anniv a few days late. Congrats on the marathon.

I have few problems wearing bras. Being a guy, I don’t wear one. Bet the (straight) guys attending the convention loved seeing you. GRIN.

@ Bryan — I could use that cupcake right this second!
@ Kurt — thanks for the good wishes. I should have a little event, perhaps.
@ Steph — you could see my straps at the shoulders.
@ Laura — so sorry I didn’t work harder to get in touch! The time flew by way too quickly. But I kept scanning the name badges.
@ Craig — Thanks for the congratulations. Curiously enough, more than a couple of male colleagues offered unsolicited feedback on the little red dress, and it seemed to have been well received.
