I’m not supposed to be sitting at this desk
Dang it all…
I promised Robin, my best friend from Peace Corps who is visiting for the week, that I would stop working at noon to spend some time with her.
It’s now 1:29 p.m., and I still have to write two proposals and get back to several more people. And I haven’t made my minimum dollar amount today.
And Robin’s in the kitchen making mountains of salsa for her own “welcome to San Diego” party that I planned for tonight.
I’m failing once again in my task to find a great work/life balance.

I wonder if that will be ever elusive a thing for freelancers. I think once I become more focused and productive, I’ll have less of a balance problem. I think. But dang it all if that discussion we had all day yesterday (or was it Wed.?) wasn’t so much fun!!
