Warning: This post is ridiculous, but I had to tell someone
I’ve been working my a** off for months to, well, work off my a**. I am now a size 10, which I think is the lowest size I’ve ever worn.
Moments ago one of my neighbors, a 23-year-old adorable girl named Katie who is approximately the size of a comma, came out to the porch, where I’m working on my new laptop.
She had a pair of jeans in her hand. “Beth, these are a little too big in the waist for me, and I thought you might be able to wear them.”
First I looked for the ghost of Alan Funt and the Candid Camera team. Then I grabbed the jeans with glee and ran to try them on.
Ok, so they did not come anywhere close to fitting. But when I brought them back, she said, “Oh, I guessed you and I were about the same size, so I thought they might fit.”
She thought *I* was *her* size????? I shall live on her assumption for the rest of my days.

Ok, and as long as I’m showing too much of my proverbial leg on this blog (which is supposed to contain only posts that relate to my business life)… I might as well come clean about my personal life.
D.J. and I are dating again.
We return now to our regularly scheduled business life.

That’s awesome. Don’t you feel like you are walking six inches off the ground now? I hope to be a size 10 at some point soon.

Claire,
I have no doubt you’ll get there if you want to. After all, you’re a strong, smart business woman, and we can do anything we set our minds to.
Well, except accounting.

Ahahahahaha!! Funny comments!
This post was great! size of a comma! Ahaha!
Talk about boosting your self-esteem, and congratulations on working so hard and seeing such results! I’ll bet, too, that in certain brands you’re even smaller than a 10. I wear anywhere from size 2-6 (I didn’t use to. I was 166lbs at one point, on my 5′ frame. Now I’m btw 110-115, usually, sometimes a bit more.) That’s a big range, to me! I have two pairs of jeans that are waist 26. One pair hangs on my like they don’t want to be with me, and I can pull off without unbuttoning, the other I have to lie flat on my bed to do up!!
If you keep up all the marathoning and hill walking, you’ll be no bigger than an apostrophe soon!
