The best marathon ever
The Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon ROCKED. It was absolutely the hardest physical effort I’ve ever put out. I wanted to get under 5 hours, but I’m pretty blankin’ proud of my 5:08. It’s 1.5 hours better than last year. I’m sore but very happy.
Very happy.
PS — I won accolades at the medical tent for having the worst blister they had seen. If you’re into gore, email me and I’ll send a picture.

HURRAY!! I thought of you several times yesterday and hoped it was going all right. Holy smokes, an hour and a half better than last year — that’s HUGE!! Just think how you’ll do next year! Gosh, what a long time to be running. I’m so glad you did it, and so happy you feel wonderful about it! Your overall place isn’t bad, either! Wow. What’s the difference between clock time and chip time?
As for that blister…mmm, I think I’ll pass, but how did you run with such a thing? OUCH!

I saw the pic of the blister. It is not pretty.
I am proud of you Beth.

I knew I had the blister, I just didn’t know the extent. It’ll take a few days to heal, I’m sure. But I promise I’ll share no more details here. Of course, Papa, I’ll still be sharing the saga with you and Mom.

What an amazing feat – I knew you could do it!
I am so proud of you – I showed the blister to Lawrence, even he (the man who likes to watch tubes be pulled out of my incision) was a bit affected!
Love ya
