My husband was on vacation this week so I had planned to take yesterday off to spend with him. The kids were in school/day care and we were just going to go for a long walk with the dogs, go out for lunch, sit out on the deck and talk, it was going to be lovely.

But then the reality of running my own business reared its ugly head and two different clients emailed with emergency changes and edits to copy I'd sent them earlier in the week.

Our date day turned into a quick buffet lunch in between hours of work at my desk.

Ah well, what can ya do?

I'll be working too. Mostly because, thankfully, I have some work to do, and I can't afford right now to lose the hours. I don't want to work 4 ten-hour days the rest of the week, so I might as well work Monday. Unless my son-in-law is barbequeing. Then I might go up there later in the afternoon.
