What do you think?
I don’t know why I keep trying different ways to avoid taking a damn headshot. Because I’ve lost some weight, I think I found cheekbones. Why don’t I just go get a professional to take my picture?
Instead I keep playing around with a graphic artist who did this cartoon.
The very first headshot post, where I admit my photo phobia
The updated headshot post, where I give up and create a cartoon

Okay, here are my $.13274 (adjusted for inflation and net worth.)
The best response I’ve received on a headshot of me was one I took myself. On a day when I felt particularly good about myself, I stood in front of a window to get good lighting on one side of my face, and snapped a few shots. Then used Paint.net to adjust the contrast, color, etc. to my liking. People seem to like the pic. It’s on my “about” page on my website: conantcorrect.com
For you, The latest cartoon is good, but it’s a cartoon and not you. People want to see the real you. The ones of you in the heavy chair make you look ooooooold and stuffy.
Try taking some along the beach near you, or with some hibiscus in the background. I’d suggest wearing a nice shirt with a collar, or something that makes you feel good, yet somewhat professional, not stiff and formal.
I’ve had professional headshots done, but frankly, I didn’t like the lighting. It was harsh and didn’t represent me how I feel I really am.
Hope that helps.

Oh… “ooooold and stuffy” is definitely not good.
At this point I’m simply amused by the whole thing: the phobia, the photo misses, the silly attempts to circumvent a very small task.
Great advice, Ms. Miss. I’m always so glad you stop by. I’ll try to be a better blogging friend.
