I don’t really need a car now that I work from home as a freelance copywriter.
I should rely on public transportation and start using Flexcar, a
car-sharing program that covers insurance, maintenance, gas, etc.

I just ran figures through the Flexcar owning-vs-Flexcar comparison, and they
said, “For the same price as owning and driving your car, you can drive a
Flexcar approximately 83 Hrs/Month or 3 Hrs/Day.”

It would be better for the environment.

And I wouldn’t have to pay the registration bill that just came in for $164.

Or the $319-a-month payments.

Or the huge car insurance bill that is about to come in.

Or the gas that almost always costs $3 a gallon here in sunny San Diego.

But I drive a 2002 silver Miata. And Consumer Reports just named Miatas
as the best in class, fun-to-drive roadster. And they’re so right.

And I bought it on my birthday last November.

And I’ve wanted to own a beautiful Miata since they came out.

Can you blame me for being fiscally irresponsible and environmentally insensitive?
